Wilsonville Parks and Recreation offers a variety of programs, classes and activities for all ages. Participants can register online at the Parks and Recreation website or in-person at the Community Center or Parks and Recreation Admin Building. Enroll before May 1st and receive 10% off class and camp registration (excluding Skyhawks).
For youth and families, there are many summer camps to choose from, including Mad Science, various sport camps (basketball, baseball, cheerleading, flag football, soccer, tennis, golf, and volleyball), and several survival school camps! New offerings include: Stealth, Parkour and Circus Skills: Movements Camp; Chess Wizards Camp; Intro to Knitting; Dodgeball, Disc Golf and Ultimate Frisbee Camp; Pickleball Camp; and Boys and Girls Lacrosse Camps. Returning classes include Babysitters Boot Camp, Manners Matter, Yoga Calm, ice skating and many more.
For adults, Zumba, tai chi, body sculpt, Pilates sculpt, yoga, line dance, oil painting, and many more favorites return this summer. New classes include a Partner Yoga Workshop, a Suicide Prevention Workshop, and SMART Transit 101 training program, just to name a few. View the activity guide for the full list of course offerings.
Announcing the return of an annual Adult 55 and better Special Event! Parks and Recreation staff is excited for the Soda Shop Rock on Thursday, June 29 from 11am - 1 pm. The event will feature a dj playing all the hits of the '50s, sliders and tots, rootbeer floats and prize giveaways. Poodles skirts and '50s themed attire is encouraged. There is no charge for the event but seats are limited so please call to pre-register.
Be sure to mark your calendars for W.E.R.K. Day on May 13, an annual special event where community members volunteer their Saturday morning to help out with various projects in the parks. Also, the water features at Murase Plaza and Town Center Park are set to turn on Thursday, June 1 at 10am.
Lastly, Movies in the Park brings Doctor Strange, Sing, Moana, and LEGO Batman to the big, inflatable screen at the River Shelter in Memorial Park on select Fridays this July and August. All movies are free and start at dusk.
