Artist Statement:  The artist experiences life and records her place in those experiences. My paintings begin where memory and emotion merge and this is where my creativity is born. A fascination with nature inspires my work. My technique is characterized by active, broad strokes and a sense of play rather than exact replication. This allows me to express my individual and distinctive experience and convey my connection to nature and translate its beauty and fragility into unique and hopefully, compelling works of art. Trying to capture one's connection allows it to transform into more...something unique to both the artist and the viewer.
