Book Notes Concert Series

Come enjoy the sound of music with the library. The Wilsonville Public Library is pleased to present musical performances by local musicians. This concert series is presented by the Wilsonville Friends of the Library.

Performances are free and in the Wilsonville Public Library's Reading Area (by the large picture windows) at 2 pm on the second Saturday of the month.

Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024: Peter "Spud" Spiegel
Mandolins and more with a variety of genres, including Bluegrass, Latin, Celtic, and a crowd-pleasing melange Spud likes to call Beachgrass..

Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024: Aryeh Frankfurter and Lisa Lynne
Celtic harps, rare instruments, and wondrous stories.

Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024: John Nilsen
Piano music inspired by the Pacific Northwest fuses new age, jazz, and folk.

Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024: Mark and Helena Greathouse
"Remembering Czech Christmas": immerse yourself in a celebration of traditional Czech Christmas festivities with this harmonious blend of music and dance.

Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025: The Prairie Blossoms
Contemporary and traditional Native American music, drawing from an engaging repertoire of tribally-specific American Indian songs.

Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025: The Swing & Standards Trio
Jazz music from the American Songbook, Romantic, Sentimental Classic tunes from Shows, Musicals, Swing Era, Jazz Era.

Saturday, Mar. 8, 2025: Bernie Sims
Singer-songwriter performs songs with influences by Kenny Loggins, Stephen Stills, and Paul McCartney.

Saturday, Apr. 12, 2025: Picante
This 6 piece ensemble includes some of the finest musicians in the Portland area performing both traditional afro cuban music and a fusion of latin jazz.

Saturday, May 10, 2025: Sean Gaskell
Traditional songs of West Africa performed on the kora, an ancient 21-stringed harp.

 

Book Notes Concerts are sponsored by Wilsonville Friends of the Library, a non-profit organization operating the Twice Sold Tales Bookstore located just inside the Library entrance.
