Second Annual "Best of Wilsonville" Photo Contest Underway

February 1, 2023 — The City of Wilsonville is inviting amateur and professional photographers alike to participate in the second annual “Best of Wilsonville" Photo Contest, now underway at LetsTalkWilsonville.com.

Capture and celebrate the joy and beauty of our community by submitting images that share your unique perspective on life in Wilsonville. All original photographs are eligible for prizes, including a $100 gift card (to the Wilsonville retailer of your choice) for the photo judged Best Overall. Ten “Best in Category” prizes are also to be awarded.  

Submissions may be featured in City publications, including the Annual Report, the 2022-23 FY Budget and the 2022-23 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

TO ENTER: Submit your photo at letstalkwilsonville.com/2023-bestofwilsonville-photo-contest. Alternatively, you can upload photos on Instagram with the hashtag #BestofWilsonville. You may assign your submissions to a category with a secondary hashtag, or a category is otherwise assigned by administrators. All entries must be shot in Wilsonville. Photos entered last year are not eligible. The contest closes on March 11.

All photos are to be judged on quality, creativity, how well they capture Wilsonville and adherence to the category.

CATEGORIES: Photos may be submitted in any of ten categories.

  • Explore Wilsonville – Be a tour guide, submit photos that showcase Wilsonville’s restaurants, retailers, hotels and local attractions. #bestofwilsonville #explorewilsonville
  • Iconic – These should feature – in foreground or background – any recognizable person, place or thing specific to Wilsonville. #bestofwilsonville #iconicwilsonville
  • People at Play – What are you doing for fun? #bestofwilsonville #peopleatplay
  • Pets of Wilsonville – Dogs, cats, horses, fish, birds, flamingos, otters and unicorns … all pets welcome! #bestofwilsonville #petsofwilsonville
  • City Living – These showcase amenities and programs provided by the City and its agency partners (Library, SMART Transit, Parks & Rec. programs, the Willamette Water Treatment Plant, Republic Services, PGE charging stations, the Community Center, West Linn-Wilsonville School District, Wilsonville Police, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, etc.) #bestofwilsonville #cityliving
  • Nature: Parks, Trails and Trees &

There is no fee to enter the contest; entrants may submit up to 20 entries, provided that each entry is different. Entrants accept and agree to be bound by Official Contest Rules.

All submissions are to be judged by a panel of City staff. Winners are to be announced no later than March 27. Last year’s winners are showcased here.
