Adam Cunningham was elected to the Wilsonville City Council in 2024.

A Wilsonville resident since 2016, Adam most recently worked as a law enforcement instructor at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training in Salem, where he instructed officers on mental health crisis response, de-escalation, and officer resiliency. Previously, he served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and was a police officer in El Cajon, Calif., where he worked in the Patrol Division and helped train new officers as a Field Training Officer. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Social and Criminal Justice from Ashford University.

Adam has served on the Wilsonville Little League Board of Directors for eight years in a variety of roles. He has been fortunate to coach both of his sons through their Little League years while also serving an umpire. In 2023, Adam umpired in the Oregon State Little League Playoffs, hosted in Wilsonville.

Since moving to Oregon, Adam has become a deer and elk hunter after growing up in Southern California as an upland bird hunter. Adam, his wife, and their sons have become solar eclipse chasers since experiencing totality in Bend in 2017. They experienced another eclipse in Texas in 2024 and are looking for their next opportunity to get into the path of totality.
